The Supreme Court Historical Society is a nonprofit educational organization established in 1974 for the purpose of promoting an appreciation for the history of the Supreme Court of the United States. It was created to serve as a resource for those interested in learning more about the Court’s history and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among scholars, teachers, and lawyers.

The Supreme Court Historical Society is based in Washington, D.C., and is open to the public.
