The Capitol Hill Restoration Society (CHRS) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that works to preserve the historical and architectural heritage of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. It is dedicated to preserving the unique character and charm of the neighborhood, which is home to the U.S. Capitol Building and the Supreme Court. CHRS works to protect and preserve historic buildings, landmarks, and public spaces in the area.

In addition to advocating for the preservation of Capitol Hill's historic architecture, CHRS also works to promote community involvement and economic development in the area. The organization hosts a number of events throughout the year that focus on the history and culture of Capitol Hill, such as lectures, walking tours, and festivals. These events provide an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to learn more about the area and its many attractions.

CHRS also works to raise public awareness about the importance of preserving Capitol Hill's architectural heritage. The organization works to educate residents about the value of historic buildings, landmarks, and public spaces, and how they contribute to the unique character of the neighborhood. CHRS also provides technical assistance to local residents and businesses who are interested in restoring and preserving buildings in the area.

The organization’s efforts to preserve the historic and architectural heritage of Capitol Hill have been recognized by the DC Preservation League, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the US Department of the Interior. CHRS is an active participant in the Hill East Design Advisory Committee, the Capitol Hill Historical Society, and the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District.
