Military Families United (MFU) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. that is dedicated to honoring, remembering, and supporting the families of America’s fallen heroes, veterans, and those still serving. The organization was founded in 2004 by a group of Gold Star families, military spouses, and veterans who wanted to create an organization that could provide comprehensive support to those who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.

The MFU’s mission is to honor the memory of fallen service members, support those who have been wounded or killed in action, and promote public awareness of the sacrifices made by our nation’s military families. The organization provides programs and services such as grief counseling, financial assistance, educational resources, and legal aid for military families in need.

The organization also advocates for public policies that benefit veterans and their families, and works with members of Congress to ensure that the needs of military families are met. Additionally, MFU has developed and implemented a number of initiatives to recognize and honor the families of the fallen, including a Memorial Day ceremony and a Gold Star Family Memorial Monument.

MFU is committed to providing support and assistance to the families of America’s heroes, and has become a valuable resource for military families in the D.C. area. Through their dedication and commitment to their mission, the organization is making a difference in the lives of many.
