Interior and Arctic Alaska Aeronautical Foundation Inc. (IAA) is a nonprofit organization located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Founded in 1982, IAA is dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and support of aviation in Alaska. The organization offers a wide range of services, including pilot training and instruction, aircraft maintenance and repairs, aircraft rentals, and flight planning. Additionally, IAA provides air ambulance services, air tours, and aerial photography services.

IAA is a member of the National Business Aircraft Association, the International Council of Air Shows, and the Fairbanks Airshow Association. The organization also serves as an instructor for the Federal Aviation Administration, providing quality instruction for private, commercial, and instrument pilot ratings. I'm not the Pig! The photographer modeling pipeline "pigs". Pigs each are passed through the pipeline periodically to scrape and clean the inside of the pipe -- especially when the fluid being tramsported is waxy. The pig behind me is displayed inside of a sampel section of pipeline. The Trans-Alaska Pipeline winds its way from Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic Ocean at the far north of Alaska south to Valdez, on the shores of Prince William Sound in southcentral Alaska. This is a "vista point" on the Dalton Highway north of Fairbanks. The pipeline is heated and insulated to keep the waxy North Slope crude from solidifying and plugging it. It is elevated at this point to keep the heated pipeline from melting the permafrost soil.
Midnite Sun Festival Held every year around the summer solstice in Fairbanks, Alaska. The street fair runs from noon to midnight. On this day, in Fairbanks the sun rose at 3:39 am and set at 1:47 am. There was no darkness, only a couple of hours of bright dusk.
