The African American Historical Association of Fairfield in Bridgeport, Connecticut is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating African American history in Fairfield County. The organization was founded in 1990 by a group of local residents who wanted to commemorate and educate the community on the significant contributions of African Americans to the region. The Association works to honor the past and to promote the present by collecting, preserving and exhibiting artifacts related to African American history.

The Association's main goal is to promote education about African American history and culture, and to foster a more inclusive community. To this end, the organization hosts events and workshops that are open to the public. These events include lectures and discussions on African American history and culture, as well as film screenings and book readings. The Association also organizes field trips to sites of historical significance, such as the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Hartford, Connecticut.

The African American Historical Association of Fairfield also maintains an online resource center, which provides access to archival materials and documents related to African American history in the area. Additionally, the Association works to preserve and promote African American heritage through its outreach programs, which include school visits, youth programs and public events. Finally, the Association works to strengthen ties between the African American community and local institutions and organizations.
