The Mystic River Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Mystic, Connecticut. The society was founded in 1947 and is dedicated to the preservation, interpretation and promotion of the history, heritage and culture of the Mystic River watershed. The Society works to preserve and promote the history, culture, and natural resources of the Mystic River watershed, from its headwaters in the hills of Connecticut, to its mouth in Long Island Sound.

The Society's activities include museum and library services, educational programs, lectures, field trips, and a variety of exhibits and events. Its museum and library are located in the historic Mystic Seaport Village, and the library contains over 6,000 volumes related to local history, including manuscripts, photographs and maps. The society also offers a variety of educational programs, including lectures, seminars, and workshops.

The Society also actively preserves and promotes the history and culture of the Mystic River watershed. It participates in community events and festivals, and supports local history projects. Additionally, the Society works to preserve and protect the natural resources of the Mystic River watershed. Through its outreach programs and activities, the Society seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting the watershed's natural resources.
