The Alaska Lighthouse Association (ALA) is a non-profit organization that works to preserve, protect, and promote the state’s lighthouses and maritime history. Founded in 2003, the ALA is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Alaska’s lighthouses and educating the public about their importance to the maritime culture. The ALA is based in Douglas, Alaska, a small fishing village located on the southeastern coast of Prince of Wales Island.
