The Bates-Scofield House is a historic house located in Darien, Connecticut, United States. Built in 1888, it is one of the oldest homes in the area. The two-story Colonial Revival house was designed by architect Edward T. Sillman and built by local builder C.H. Scofield.

The Bates-Scofield House is a large, two-story structure with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. It has a symmetrical façade, with two bay windows and a central entrance. The entrance is sheltered by a porch with a gable roof, supported by classical columns. The house has a two-story side wing, and a rear ell with a single-story porch. The house is surrounded by a garden and trees.

The interior of the Bates-Scofield House is divided into three sections, with a central hall and two parlors. The first floor includes a spacious living room and a formal dining room. The second floor has four bedrooms, a sitting room, and a bathroom. The house features late 19th-century interior woodwork and decorative details, such as mantels, doors, and wainscoting.

The Bates-Scofield House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Darien Historic District. It is a significant example of late 19th-century residential architecture in the area.
