The Monroe Historical Society Incorporated is a non-profit organization located in Monroe, Connecticut. Founded in 1964, the society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Monroe and its surrounding areas.

The society operates out of the David M. Huntoon Memorial Building, which was gifted to the society by the Huntoon family in 1976. The building serves as the society's headquarters, as well as a museum and research center for local history. The museum features a collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcase the history of Monroe and its residents.

In addition to managing the museum, the society is also responsible for organizing and hosting community events and educational programs.
