The Friends of the Alaska Governors Mansion Foundation (FAGM) is a non-profit organization established in Juneau, Alaska in 1983 to preserve and restore the historic Alaska Governor’s Mansion. The Mansion, located at 6th and Main Streets in downtown Juneau, is a unique piece of Alaska’s history and is the only governor’s residence in the United States that was built prior to statehood.

The FAGM is dedicated to maintaining and promoting the Mansion as a public resource. Through its fundraising efforts, the FAGM has sponsored numerous projects to preserve and restore the Mansion’s original furnishings, as well as its grounds and gardens. The FAGM also supports educational programs and events at the Mansion, including tours, lectures, and receptions.

In addition to its work at the Mansion, the FAGM is actively involved in the Juneau community. The FAGM works with local schools to provide educational field trips to the Mansion, and it sponsors community events such as the annual Mansion Run, a 5K run/walk through downtown Juneau.

The FAGM is supported by memberships, donations, and grants from local businesses and organizations. All funds raised by the FAGM are used to support its mission to preserve and promote the historic Alaska Governor’s Mansion.
