The Morris Historical Society in Morris, Connecticut is a nonprofit organization founded in 1968 that is dedicated to preserving and sharing the unique history of the Morris region. The Society's mission is to collect, preserve and share the history, heritage and culture of Morris, Connecticut and the surrounding towns. The Society is housed in a restored 19th century clapboard building, located in the heart of Morris.

The Society offers a variety of programs and activities designed to engage the community and create an appreciation for its history. These include lectures, workshops, special events, exhibitions, and community outreach programs. The Society also maintains a library and archive of material related to the history of Morris and the surrounding towns. The library includes books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and other items related to local history, as well as oral histories and genealogical research material.

The Society also owns and operates two historic sites in Morris: the Phelps House, a 17th-century saltbox house, and the Morris Town Hall, a 19th-century building that served as the town's center of government and commerce until the early 20th century. The Society offers guided tours of these sites, as well as arranging special events and programs.

In addition, the Society works with local schools and community groups to promote an appreciation for the area's history and culture. The Society also participates in regional and national history-related organizations and conferences. By providing educational and cultural programming, the Morris Historical Society is preserving the past and inspiring future generations.
