The Rio Grande Modeling & Historical Society (RGMHS) is an organization based in Anchorage, Alaska that is dedicated to the research and preservation of the history and culture of the Rio Grande region. The society was founded in 1991 and is a non-profit organization. It's mission is to educate the public about the history and heritage of the region, promote the development of appropriate models of the Rio Grande area and to preserve the cultural heritage of the region.

The RGMHS sponsors and participates in various events throughout the year that focus on the history and culture of the Rio Grande region. These include lectures, field trips, historical presentations, educational programs and model building activities. The society also maintains a library and a collection of historical artifacts, photographs and documents. The library has a wide variety of books, photos and documents related to the region.

The RGMHS also publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Rio Grande Reflections", which features articles about local history, current events, upcoming events, and other topics of interest to members. The society also has an active website which provides further information about the society and its activities.

The RGMHS is open to all members of the public and provides an opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of the Rio Grande region. It is a great resource for those interested in learning more about the area and its history.
