The Kent Historical Society (KHS) is dedicated to preserving the history of the town of Kent, in the state of Connecticut. Founded in 1920, KHS has been collecting, preserving and exhibiting artifacts, documents, photographs and other materials related to the history of Kent for nearly a century.

The Society operates the Kent Museum, which is located in the historic town hall building and houses an extensive collection of artifacts and documents related to the history of Kent. The collection includes items such as furniture, clothing, and tools from the colonial era, as well as photographs and maps from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum also hosts special exhibitions throughout the year, featuring topics such as the town's history of art and music, the industrial revolution, and the town's participation in the Civil War.

In addition to the museum, KHS also runs a research library that is open to the public. The library contains books, periodicals, newspapers, and other materials related to the history of Kent. The library also houses an extensive collection of maps, historical documents, and photographs from past generations.

KHS also offers educational programs for adults and children, and organizes events such as lectures, walking tours, and workshops. In addition, the Society sponsors an annual Historic Preservation Awards Program, which recognizes individuals and organizations in the town who are committed to preserving the history of Kent.
