The Antiquarian & Landmarks Society (ALS) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1920 with a mission to preserve and promote the history, architecture and culture of Hartford, Connecticut and the surrounding region. The ALS's core activities include preserving historic buildings and sites, educating the public, and advocating for the preservation of historic resources in the region. The ALS owns and operates the Butler-McCook House & Garden and the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford.

The ALS works to promote the preservation and conservation of historic buildings in Hartford, including the Wadsworth Atheneum, the State Capitol, the Old State House, the Bushnell Park Carousel, and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch. The ALS has also worked to establish historic districts in Hartford, such as the Asylum Hill Historic District, the West End Historic District, and the Parkville Historic District. The ALS also works to protect archaeological sites and objects in the region, including a number of sites associated with the Pequot War of 1637-1638. Additionally, the ALS has been actively involved in the preservation of the Connecticut River and its associated cultural resources.

The ALS has established a number of programs to increase public awareness and appreciation of the region's history and built environment. These programs include lectures, workshops, and guided tours of historic sites. The ALS also hosts programs in collaboration with other organizations, such as the Connecticut Historical Society and the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation. The ALS also publishes a quarterly newsletter and a blog, which provide information about current events and activities related to historic preservation in the Hartford area.
