The Antiquarian & Landmark Society (ALS) is a nonprofit organization located in Hartford, Connecticut. Founded in 1974, the ALS works to preserve and interpret Connecticut’s unique history through research, education, and advocacy. The ALS owns and operates a number of historic sites in the state, including the Litchfield History Museum and the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington. The ALS also serves as a resource for the public, providing access to research materials and collections related to Connecticut’s history.

The ALS’ mission is to protect and promote the history and heritage of the state of Connecticut. Through its research, educational programs, and advocacy efforts, the ALS works to ensure that the state’s history is preserved and interpreted for future generations. The organization offers a variety of programs, including lectures, tours, workshops, and exhibits. Additionally, the ALS oversees a number of historic sites and collections, including the Mark Twain House & Museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum, and the Connecticut Historical Society.
