The Essex Historical Society Hills Academy in Essex, Connecticut, is a private, non-profit educational and research center dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the town and its surrounding region. Established in 1814, the organization is one of the oldest in Connecticut and has been a leader in historical research, education and preservation throughout its long history.
