Unseen leaves from Schneidler’s Der Wassermann At Jerry Kelly’s library. “Unlike most collectors, I care little about provenance, but I make an exception for this copy of Der Wassermann: it was given by Schneidler to Trump, who gave it to Zapf, and several years ago Hermann Zapf gave it to me.” grolierclub.omeka.net/items/show/389

The Hoyt-Barnum House is a historic house located at 713 Bedford Street in Stamford, Connecticut. It was built in 1777 and is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Stamford. The house was built by Isaac Hoyt, a wealthy merchant and landowner, and is an excellent example of Georgian-style architecture.

The house is a two-story, five-bay, wood-frame structure with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. It features a central front entrance with an elaborate surround flanked by two sash windows. The house has an original stone foundation and brick chimney. The house is set on a grassy hillside and is surrounded by several large trees.

The interior of the house has been renovated and restored to its original condition. It features a large central hall with a winding staircase, four fireplaces, and several period furnishings. The house also contains a collection of 18th-century Americana, including clothing, furniture, books, and other artifacts.
