The Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford, Connecticut, is a National Historic Landmark located in the city’s historic Nook Farm neighborhood. This house was designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter and was the home of author and humorist Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) and his family from 1874 to 1891. During this time, Twain wrote some of his most iconic works, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. The mansion is a combination of the Italianate and Stick styles, featuring a prominent three-story tower and a large wrap-around porch.

The museum offers a variety of educational opportunities for visitors. Tours of the house are available and feature many of the original furnishings and artifacts from the family’s time in the home. The museum also offers a variety of educational programs, and the grounds feature a sculpture garden and a two-acre woodland garden.
