PIKES PEAK HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC

FLORISSANT, CO

The fun part of the day ended here We were on our way to photograph the forest, mountains and sunset when our car got stuck in the snow just before reaching our destination at The Crags trailhead. A Teller County Sheriff came to the rescue and got stuck, and a local man came to pull us both out and he too got stuck. Some more cops showed up and did not get stuck. The cops, my brother and I proceeded to shovel snow for six hours until the local man got unstuck and came back with a Unimog and yanked my brother's Subaru 50 feet through a snow bank before we were able to drive away.
