The Ute Pass Historical Society (UPHS) is a non-profit organization located in Woodland Park, Colorado. Founded in 1968, UPHS is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Teller County and its surrounding areas. UPHS collects, preserves, and displays artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials related to the history of the Ute Pass region. They also promote an understanding of the history of the region by presenting educational programs, lectures, and other events to the public.

The UPHS Museum, located in the former Colorado Midland Railroad Depot, houses a variety of artifacts and exhibits. Visitors can explore the history of the Ute Pass region, including the area’s Native American heritage, the Colorado Midland Railroad, and the logging, ranching, and agricultural industries that shaped the area.

UPHS also hosts a variety of programs and activities throughout the year, including the annual Ute Pass Heritage Festival. This festival celebrates the history of the Ute Pass region through music, food, and other activities. The UPHS also hosts other events and programs throughout the year, such as the Ute Pass History Bus Tour, which provides a guided tour of historic sites in the area.

The UPHS also offers a variety of educational resources, such as online and print publications about the history of the Ute Pass region, as well as a library of oral histories and photographs. UPHS also provides research assistance to those interested in learning more about the history of the area.
