The Oscar Anderson House is a historical home located in Anchorage, Alaska. Built in 1915, it is the oldest surviving house in Anchorage and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built by Swedish immigrant Oscar Anderson and his family, who moved to Alaska in 1909.

The two-story, wood-frame house is an example of the Craftsman-style architecture popular in the early 20th century. The exterior features a large, wrap-around porch and a gabled roof with exposed rafters. The interior of the house includes a large living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

The house is adorned with many original features, including built-in cabinets, woodwork, and light fixtures. The house also has a unique basement that was used as a root cellar and a coal storage area.

Today, the Oscar Anderson House is a museum and a testament to Anchorage’s early history. Visitors can tour the house, learn about its history, and explore the grounds. The site also hosts a variety of events, such as weddings and cultural festivals. This historic house serves as an important reminder of Anchorage’s past.
