The building features a buff brick exterior, terra cotta trim, a hipped roof, arched window bays on the second floor of the exterior facade, doric pilasters, engaged doric columns, decorative spandrel panels, and a cornice with dentils. A separate operations building to the south of the main building features a similar exterior and roofline, but is overall much simpler in appearance. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, and today, is vacant, standing adjacent to the current Amtrak station.
