The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned by the University of Alabama. It is located on the edge of the University of Alabama campus and is close to downtown Tuscaloosa.

In the early 1900s it was purchased by Mildred Warner, the daughter of William Miller. She changed the name to the Mildred Warner House, and it is still known by that name today.
