PRICE PIONEER MUSEUM

The Price Pioneer Museum in Florence County, South Carolina, is a two-story museum located on the site of an old post office and general store that was owned and operated by the Price family from the 1890s until the 1940s. The museum houses a variety of artifacts from this era, including photographs, furniture, tools, and clothing. The museum also features a number of interactive exhibits, including a replica of a general store complete with cash registers, a replica of a 1930s-era classroom with desks, and a replica of a rural doctor's office with medical equipment and supplies.

In addition to its indoor exhibits, the museum also offers outdoor activities, such as a walking tour of the historical district and a nature trail. The museum also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including demonstrations of traditional crafts and rural skills.

The museum was founded in 1989 by local historians and the Florence County Historical Society. It is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, and admission is free. The museum is located at 209 E. Main Street in Florence, South Carolina.
