The Vista Gem and Mineral Society Inc. (VGMS) is a non-profit organization based in Vista, California. Founded in 1975, the VGMS is a group of dedicated individuals interested in the earth sciences, gemology, and lapidary arts.

The VGMS offers a variety of programs, activities, and events throughout the year. These include educational seminars, field trips, and the occasional gem show. The Society also offers its members access to a lapidary shop and library. In addition, members can participate in the Society’s rock-identification programs and contests.

The VGMS is also involved in local community activities. The Society is one of the few organizations in the area that offers regular classes and activities for children. The VGMS also assists local schools and youth groups by providing educational materials and expertise.

The VGMS is a great resource for those interested in the earth sciences and lapidary arts. By joining the VGMS, members have access to a great deal of knowledge, resources, and activities. The VGMS is always happy to welcome new members and looks forward to helping them learn more about the fascinating world of geology and lapidary arts.
