STONY RIDGE OBSERVATORY

Stony Ridge Observatory is located in Temecula, California, and is the home of the Temecula Valley Astronomers. It is located 16 miles north of Temecula, in the hills of San Diego County. The observatory has a two-meter dome, with two telescopes located inside. The two telescopes are a 16-inch Meade LX200, and a 14-inch Celestron. Both are equipped with a wide range of accessories, such as a focal reducer, and a variety of eyepieces.

The observatory also has a large classroom, which is used for lectures, classes, and meetings. Additionally, the facility has a library with a wide variety of books and magazines about astronomy and astrophotography. The observatory also has a computer lab, and a comfortable lounge area for members to relax.

The observatory hosts several public events throughout the year, such as star parties and educational lectures. The observatory is also available to rent for private events and parties.

The observatory is open to the public every Saturday night, from 8 pm to 11 pm. During this time, visitors can view the night sky through the telescopes, and ask questions about astronomy.
