The Kazanjian Foundation in Beverly Hills, California is a private family foundation established in 1971 by Dr. Vasken and Alice Kazanjian. The Foundation’s mission is to support charitable, educational, artistic and cultural activities in the United States, particularly those benefiting the Armenian community, and to promote and advance the work of the Armenian Church. The Foundation is administered by a Board of Trustees, all of whom are descendants of the Kazanjian family.

The Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on the following areas: Arts and Culture, Education, Health, Humanitarian Assistance, and Armenian Church. The Foundation has provided support for a variety of programs, including a library for the Armenian Evangelical Church of Los Angeles, a community center for Armenian seniors, and a health clinic in Armenia. In addition, the Foundation has provided funding for scholarships, educational programs, and cultural activities.

The Foundation also sponsors special projects and initiatives, such as an annual Armenian Festival, an Armenian Music Festival, an Armenian Film Festival, and a Summer Arts Camp. The Foundation also funds research projects and initiatives related to Armenian history, culture, and identity.

The Kazanjian Foundation is an active member of the philanthropic community in Southern California. The Foundation works closely with other foundations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies to promote its mission and expand its impact. LAFD Welcomes Graduates of Recruit Training Academy Class 2023-3 ELYSIAN PARK - The Los Angeles Fire Department's Recruit Training Academy Class 23-3 celebrated their graduation on April 4, 2024, as they became proud probationary members of the LAFD.

Friends and family of the 35 graduates were joined by City of Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley and civic and community leaders, in congratulating and welcoming these newest members of the Department in a ritual filled ceremony at the LAFD Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center.
