B Battery 711 AAA Gun Battalion Memorial in Bay Minette, Alabama is a tribute to the brave men who served in the 711 AAA Gun Battalion during World War II. The memorial is located in the center of a small park, surrounded by a brick wall and a lush, green grass field. The monument stands tall at over nine feet, adorned with a marble plaque bearing the Battalion’s crest, and topped with a bronze sculpture of a soldier carrying a rifle and helmet.

The monument was commissioned in 2003, and dedicated to the memory of those who served in the 711 AAA Gun Battalion. The Battalion was formed in 1942 and was part of the Army Air Force’s Anti-aircraft Artillery. It was stationed in North Africa, Italy, and France during the war and was known for their skill and bravery in protecting Allied forces from enemy aircraft.

The bronze sculpture atop the monument stands as a symbol of the courage of the men who served in the 711 AAA Gun Battalion. The memorial serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers of the 711 AAA Gun Battalion and serves as a reminder of the courage and strength of those who served in World War II.
