The G. W. Carver Interpretive Museum in Dothan, Alabama is dedicated to the life and legacy of George Washington Carver, one of the most celebrated African American scientists of all time. Carver was born into slavery in Kansas and later went on to become the first African American to receive a degree from Iowa State University. After his studies, Carver helped to revolutionize the agricultural industry through his work in soil conservation, crop rotation and plant-based nutrition.

The museum was founded in 1975 and is now part of the Wiregrass Museum of Art in Dothan. It features a wealth of interactive exhibits and displays that showcase Carver’s life and accomplishments. The museum also offers educational programs and activities for a wide range of ages. Visitors can explore an interactive timeline of Carver’s life, as well as various displays about his scientific achievements and contributions to agriculture.
