Those sitting around the floor banner began the process of creating over 1000 red and black tissue paper poppies which were laid on top of the banner which read - "30,000 KILLED IN PALESTINE - Each Poppy Represents 20 Palestinian Lives". As the poppy-making began, so did the singing. At the same time, hundreds filled the gallery of the State Assembly, also singing chants and dropping banners, causing the first session to eventually adjourn. ___ Led by Jewish groups, hundreds of Jews and allies came together today at the California State Capital with banner drops, chants and beautiful song to call on legislators, on their first day back in session, to support an immediate and permanent CEASEFIRE in Gaza and to stop the US funding - and CA taxpayer funding! - of genocide. Instead... Invest in: Healthcare Schools, Housing Our Planet Community
