Friends of Fendall Hall Inc. is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the historic Fendall Hall in Eufaula, Alabama. Fendall Hall is a Greek Revival mansion built in 1836 by William Fendall, a wealthy plantation owner. The hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a popular tourist destination.

Friends of Fendall Hall Inc. was established in 2003 as a way to raise money and support the restoration and preservation of the hall. It started with a small group of Fendall Hall supporters and has since grown to include over 200 members. The group organizes numerous fundraising events each year, such as the annual Fendall Hall Summer Gala. They also provide educational programs, tours, and lectures on the history of Fendall Hall and its significance in Alabama’s history.

Through their efforts, Friends of Fendall Hall Inc. has been able to raise more than $500,000 in donations and grants. This money has been used to restore the interior and exterior of the hall, as well as purchase furniture, artwork, and artifacts for the hall’s museum. The group also uses the funds to provide scholarships for college students who have an interest in historic preservation.

Friends of Fendall Hall Inc. continues to be a major force in preserving and promoting the history of Fendall Hall and the state of Alabama. With their commitment and dedication, Fendall Hall will continue to be an important part of Alabama’s history for many years to come.
