Keep Citronelle Beautiful (KCB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting Citronelle, Alabama’s natural beauty. Founded in 1997, KCB has worked hard to restore and protect the community’s natural resources, and to promote environmental stewardship. The organization has created and maintained numerous green spaces, such as parks, trails, and natural areas, throughout the city.
KCB also works to keep Citronelle clean and litter-free by organizing regular litter clean-ups and educational programs. The group also educates citizens about ways to reduce their environmental impact and increase their sustainability. KCB also works to promote energy efficiency and conservation by offering energy-saving tips and providing energy audits to local businesses.
In addition to their efforts to protect and preserve the environment, KCB also provides job training and employment opportunities for local residents. They work with the Citronelle Chamber of Commerce to help local residents find and apply for jobs, as well as with local businesses to provide job training and job placement services.
KCB also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as a spring and fall clean-up, a winter holiday tree-lighting ceremony, and an annual Earth Day celebration. Through these events, KCB helps to bring the community together in support of environmental protection and sustainability.
