DI ROSA is a privately owned contemporary art collection located in Napa Valley, California. Founded in 1997 by Rene and Veronica di Rosa, the expansive property comprises two galleries, a sculpture park, a wetlands preserve, and a winery. The 200-acre site is home to over 2,000 works of art from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, including painting, sculpture, video, photography, and installation pieces.
The main gallery is housed in a restored 19th-century barn and features works from emerging and established artists from around the world. Highlights include sculptures by Robert Arneson and Viola Frey, paintings by Wayne Thiebaud and Nathan Oliveira, and installations by David Ireland and Lynn Hershman Leeson.
The sculpture park is a nine-acre outdoor space filled with large-scale sculptures by local and international artists. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and includes works by Niki de Saint Phalle, Bruce Conner, and Robert Hudson.
The wetlands preserve encompasses 14 acres of wetlands and is home to a variety of native plants, as well as several endangered species. The preserve is open to the public, and visitors can explore the area on interpretive trails.
The di Rosa Winery produces small-batch wines from locally-sourced grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. The tasting room offers visitors an opportunity to sample the wines, as well as an opportunity to purchase bottles.
DI ROSA is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, and offers guided tours of the galleries and sculpture park. The property also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including art openings, lectures, and workshops.
