The California Missions Foundation is a non-profit organization located in San Francisco, California that works to preserve, protect and promote California’s Spanish colonial missions. The Foundation was established in 1983 to help rebuild and restore the 21 Spanish missions that were originally established in California in the late 1700s and early 1800s. The Foundation works to conserve and restore the missions’ original architecture, artifacts, and artwork, as well as to promote and interpret their cultural and religious significance.

The Foundation provides grants, educational programs, and public outreach campaigns to support its mission. It also works with local, state, and federal agencies to help ensure the missions are properly preserved. The Foundation is funded through donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations, and it also receives funds from its membership program.
