The Atherton Heritage Association (AHA) is a non-profit organization located in Atherton, California. Founded in 1981, the Association's mission is to preserve and promote the history and culture of Atherton and to build community through education and outreach. The AHA works to preserve local historical buildings and landmarks, collects and preserves artifacts and documents related to Atherton's past, and sponsors and supports events and programs that celebrate Atherton's history.
The AHA also offers educational programs for school-aged children and families. These programs are designed to teach the history of Atherton and the surrounding area, and to foster a sense of community among Atherton's residents. AHA also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including lectures, tours, and workshops.
The AHA works to ensure that Atherton's past is not forgotten, and that current and future generations learn and appreciate the importance of Atherton's history. The Association also promotes the preservation of local historical sites and works with local agencies and organizations to protect and enhance Atherton's historic district.
