The Karuk Tribe of California is a federally recognized Indian tribe located in Happy Camp, California. The Karuk people are descendants of the Karuk tribe that has inhabited the region since time immemorial. The Karuk Tribe is located in the northernmost portion of California, along the Klamath and Salmon Rivers, and is one of the largest federally recognized tribes in California.
