The National Liberty Ship Memorial Inc. is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2002, their mission is to “honor the memory of the thousands of men and women who served on the Liberty Ship fleets during World War II and to preserve the remaining Liberty Ship SS Jeremiah O’Brien.”

The SS Jeremiah O’Brien is a Liberty Ship built in 1943 and is the only one of its kind left afloat in the world. The ship served in the Battle of Normandy and the Pacific War, and was used to transport troops and cargo. It has been designated as a National Historic Landmark, and is the centerpiece of the National Liberty Ship Memorial.

The organization offers tours of the ship, as well as special events such as lectures, movie screenings and other activities. They also operate a museum aboard the ship, which houses artifacts from the ship’s history and the World War II era. Additionally, the ship is available for weddings and events, and the organization provides educational programs for schools and other groups.

The National Liberty Ship Memorial is committed to preserving the history of the Liberty Ship and to honoring the men and women who served on them. Through their efforts, the legacy of the Liberty Ships will live on for generations to come.
