The Burlingame Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history and culture of Burlingame, California. Founded in 1960, the Society is located in historic Burlingame, a city that was founded in the late 1800s and is home to some of the oldest buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Society works to preserve the city’s history through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials related to the city’s past. Additionally, the Society also partners with local organizations to host a variety of educational events and activities throughout the year, which inform the public about the city’s history and culture. The Society’s collection of archives and artifacts is available to be viewed by the public in their museum, which is open on the first and third Sundays of every month. Through their various activities, the members of the Burlingame Historical Society seek to foster an appreciation for the city’s past and to ensure that the history of Burlingame is preserved for future generations.
