The historic site of Fort Morgan, located in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is a reminder of the pivotal role the fort played in the War of 1812. Built between 1819 and 1834, Fort Morgan was the last line of defense for the United States against the British invasion in the war. The fort was also vital in defending Mobile Bay from Union forces during the Civil War. Today, the fort is a major historical attraction in the area and is home to the Museum of History and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

The second exhibit is the “Fort Morgan Experience,” which includes interactive displays, artifacts, and interactive activities that allow visitors to experience what life was like in the fort during the War of 1812 and the Civil War.
The fort also contains a nature trail and a beach, making it a great spot for bird-watching, swimming, and sunbathing.
