The Wyoming Militia Historical Society (WMHS) is a non-profit organization located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The mission of the WMHS is to preserve, interpret, and promote the history of the Wyoming Militia and its members. The Society was founded in 2003 and is dedicated to preserving and researching the history of the Wyoming Militia, a volunteer organization that was active between 1867 and the early 20th century.

The Society holds meetings and events throughout the year, such as lectures, workshops, and field trips, that are open to the public. They also host an annual conference each summer in which speakers from around the country and from other states discuss topics related to the Wyoming Militia. The WMHS also maintains an online museum featuring artifacts and photographs from the Wyoming Militia.

The WMHS also publishes a quarterly newsletter called “The Wyoming Militia Gazette” which discusses current events, historical information, and photographs related to the Wyoming Militia. The Society also creates educational materials for local schools, libraries, and museums.

The WMHS is a member of the National Historical Society, the Wyoming Historical Society, and the Wyoming State Historical Society. The WMHS is also affiliated with the National Rifle Association. The WMHS is open to new members and welcomes donations to help support its mission.
