The Sheridan Heritage Center, located in Sheridan, Wyoming, is a unique museum and educational center dedicated to preserving and displaying local history. The Center was founded in 1984 with the goal of preserving the history and culture of Sheridan County and the surrounding region.

The Heritage Center occupies a historic building that was originally constructed in 1901 as the Sheridan County Courthouse. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Today, the Center houses a wide range of artifacts and exhibits that chronicle the history of the area, including Native American artifacts, early homestead and ranching tools, and photographs and documents from the area’s past.

The Heritage Center also hosts numerous educational and cultural events throughout the year, including art shows, lectures, school field trips, and more. In addition, they have a variety of interactive displays and activities, such as a hands-on archeology dig.
