The Lucius Burch Center is named after Lucius Burch, a prominent local rancher and community leader. The building served as the church for Burch's family, who attended the local Methodist Church. In 1941, the building was sold to the local school district and used as a school until it was closed in 1954. In the 1970s, the building was restored and converted into a community center.

Today, the Lucius Burch Center is used for a variety of community events, such as art shows, concerts, plays, and other activities. It is also used for a variety of private functions, such as weddings, graduations, and anniversaries.
