Historic Concordia Neighbors Inc. (HCN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the quality of life in the Concordia neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 1975, HCN works to preserve the neighborhood’s rich history and culture by promoting architectural and historical preservation, advocating for neighborhood improvements, and engaging in civic and community activities.

HCN is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is a member of the Wisconsin Main Street Program. The organization strives to create a safe and vibrant neighborhood by hosting events and activities, such as their annual picnic and holiday party, as well as providing services such as neighborhood tours and historic home tours. HCN also works to provide resources and assistance to local businesses, homeowners, and renters.

HCN is heavily involved with the local schools, providing programs such as the Concordia Summer Program and the Concordia Youth Leadership Program. Additionally, HCN participates in various neighborhood beautification projects and is committed to preserving and revitalizing the area’s unique character.

HCN’s mission is to bring together the community of the Concordia neighborhood in order to foster a sense of pride and connectedness, build upon the area’s rich history, and ensure a safe and vibrant future for the neighborhood.
