Taliesin Preservation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of America's most renowned architects. Located in Spring Green, Wisconsin, Taliesin Preservation manages and maintains the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, Taliesin, and Taliesin West.
Taliesin, Wright's original home and studio, was built in 1911 and is situated on a 600-acre estate overlooking the Wisconsin River. The property includes several buildings, including Wright's personal residence, a drafting studio, and a theater. Taliesin West, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, was Wright's winter home and studio from 1937 until his death in 1959. It is now a national historic landmark.
The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, located on the Taliesin property, features exhibits on Wright's life and work, as well as a gift shop and café. Taliesin Preservation also offers guided tours of the Taliesin property, including the main house and studio, as well as other buildings on the estate.
In addition to preserving Wright's architectural legacy, Taliesin Preservation also promotes his philosophy of organic architecture, which emphasizes harmony between the built environment and the natural world. The organization offers educational programs and workshops on topics related to architecture, design, and sustainability.
