The American Poultry Historical Society (APHS) is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to promote the history of poultry and to preserve the heritage of the poultry industry in the United States. Founded in Madison, Wisconsin in 1998, the organization is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of poultry-related artifacts and documents, as well as the promotion of the history of poultry.

The APHS offers a variety of resources, including an extensive library of books, photographs, and other documents. The society also offers a range of educational programs and events, such as lectures, workshops, and field trips. Additionally, the APHS works to promote the poultry industry and to encourage public awareness of the importance of poultry in our lives.
