NISEI BASEBALL RESEARCH PROJECT

The Nisei Baseball Research Project (NBRP) is an initiative based in Fresno, California that seeks to preserve the history and culture of Japanese American baseball. It is a joint effort between the Fresno Historical Society, the Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Club, and the Fresno County Public Library. The NBRP works to collect and preserve information about the history and culture of Japanese American baseball teams and leagues. In addition, the project serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate the Japanese American contributions to the game of baseball. The NBRP also works to provide educational resources to serve the local community. This includes providing access to photographs, artifacts, and other documents related to the history of Japanese American baseball. Through its work, the NBRP works to ensure that the unique history of Japanese American baseball remains preserved for future generations.
