The building features a limestone exterior with a granite base, doric pilasters on the exterior facade, six-over-six double-hung windows on the first floor and casement windows on the second floor, a recessed front portico with four ionic columns and chandelier-style light fixtures, a cornice with dentils, and a low-slope roof enclosed by a parapet. The building is a contributing structure in the Point Pleasant Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and continues to function as a post office.
