Sure, there are a few issues like the boat is made of concrete and the dock fees are tremendous. The other hitch is that the birds from Bodega Bay have taken up residence and they are still pretty upset with the contractual issues they had in the &quot;fat man's 1960s movie.&quot; Their words, not mine.

How we model evil - and partially do remorse (# 0975) In a small town on the California coast outside of Monterey, at the site of a small language school built by early Japanese immigrants (farmers) for their children’s betterment. With the 1942 internment of Japanese on the west coast, the children and their families were moved from here to an athletic field in Salinas, and then moved to an internment camp in Poston, AZ. The school shut down, and never reopened. The Japanese, on release after the war, faced hostility from locals and thus could not return to their farms or farming. (In general the interred Japanese were not able to return to their former work.)

The picture illustrates the fear felt in that first separation as they were temporarily rounded up (like cattle) in Salinas. The picture is part of several displays arranged around the school building in Castroville. Castroville itself is a small, rural, community whose population is predominantly immigrant farm workers (though not ancestors of the former Japanese residents).

It is an excellent display, but in a location that you have to know it exists to find it – as is true of most of the relics of the internment, there are no highway signs or other features that point them out.
