1948 Ford Convertible Car show at a small Ford dealer in Lynden Washington.  Some time in 1947 the parking lights were moved from above the grille to the side.  I don't know but suspect it was because turn signals became an option and the lights needed to be where they would be useful.

The Whatcom Maritime Historical Society is a non-profit organization based in Bellingham, Washington, dedicated to preserving and promoting the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1974, the society's mission is to educate the public about the region's maritime heritage through the restoration, preservation, and interpretation of historic vessels and artifacts.
