Point No Point Lighthouse (Point No Point, Washington) - Pictures from the Ovation of the Seas - September 2nd, 2022 Pictures of the beautiful Point No Point Lighthouse taken on our way northward after leaving Seattle. This is one of the early lights you see once you start heading towards Alaska and points north. Like others along the way, it is not that high off the water. Taken during our cruise on board the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas for the seven night Alaska Experience Cruise (September 2nd through 9th, 2022). The cruise embarks from Seattle, Washington and the itinerary includes stops in Juneau (AK), Skagway (AK), Sitka (AK) and Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) before heading back to Seattle.

Olympic Peninsula Steam is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to preserving the steam engines of the past. Based in Port Townsend, Washington, the organization has a collection of steam-powered locomotives and machinery that they restore and maintain for the public to enjoy.

The organization was founded in 1989 by a group of steam enthusiasts who wanted to keep the tradition of steam power alive. They acquired a number of steam engines and began restoring them to their former glory. Today, they have a collection of over 20 steam engines, including locomotives, tractors, and steam-powered boats.

Visitors to Olympic Peninsula Steam can take a ride on one of their restored steam locomotives, which run on a narrow-gauge track through the woods. They can also see demonstrations of steam engines in action, watch blacksmiths at work, and learn about the history of steam power.

In addition to preserving and showcasing steam engines, Olympic Peninsula Steam also educates the public about the importance of conservation and sustainable living. They promote the use of renewable energy sources and encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint.

Overall, Olympic Peninsula Steam is a unique and fascinating attraction for anyone interested in history, engineering, or sustainability.
